Library_Flash Fiction Comp winners

Flash Fiction writing competition winners: 1st place Gabriel Owens R7F; joint second place Luke Kenyon R9G and John Evans D7F.

Gabriel has also entered his story into the Radio 2 short story competition along with 74,000 other people.  His entry has made it into the final 2,000!

SELF-PORTRAIT COMPETITION

Many different styles of work were represented in the competition – surreal, caricature,
manga-influenced and figurative portrayals.

WRITING COMPETITION

Alex Sarris R11F, Wayne Jury S8F and Luke Kenyon R8G won our recent writing competition.  The students chose an object and used it as inspiration for a piece of creative writing.

DEMOCRACY COMPETITION

We held a Democracy competition at the time of the General Election in May 2010 - students had to design their own political party, produce a manifesto containing a local, national and international issue and state their policies in relation to the issues.

The winners were the Children Are The Future Party - Gio Paris, Stephen Uregbula, Leroy Da Silva and Chandler Walters of S8F.  In second place were the Democratic Manipulators - Joshua Lawrence and Luka O'Neill of R7G.
