Consultants to Penguin Publishers
The Library is working with Penguin Publishers and students from Reading Club have formed a consultancy group. Penguin are keen to work in partnership with our students and have requested feedback on a number of forthcoming book titles. Our boys have been given pre-proof copies and manuscripts to read with the brief to provide feedback for the author and publisher. A small group of boys visited the Penguin on The Strand and met bestselling author, Rick Riordian. Rick was in London for a few hours last term, just enough time for our boys to get signed copies of his best selling Percy Jackson books!
Penguin gave us a preview of their book trailer for Timeriders by Alex Scarrow so a special cinema session took place in the library together with an exclusive reading from the manuscript. It’s a fantastic piece of animation and now many boys are keen to produce their own book trailers.
