Curriculum
Everybody associated with the school is encouraged to read and share their literacy experiences. This includes students, staff and parents. Our Library sits at the heart of the school and everything it achieves. From day one in year 7 every student receives an additional period in their timetable dedicated to a reading session in the Library.

Branford Boase Book Award
Ms Webb is taking part in the judging of the Branford Boase Award for 2012 which means she must read 27 books by the end of April. Her reviews will appear on the Library’s Facebook page: Forest Hill School Library. The books will also be available to borrow from the school library.
The aim is to find the most promising book for children by a first novelist. The award recognises the importance of the editor's role and so it celebrates both the author and the editor.
All the books on the list are suitable for boys aged 11 - 14 so why not have a go at reading one (or more) - click here for the 2012 long list.
